With a workforce of more than 10,000 employees, Persoonality is one of the largest payroll service providers in the Netherlands. The company values service and quality, even when it comes to the companies it does business with. One of those companies is Akyla. They have been working together to their full satisfaction since 2007.

PERSONALITY, MAJOR PLAYER IN PAYROLLING

Since its founding in 1998, Persoonality has grown into one of the bigger players in the Netherlands when it comes to payrolling, employing personnel of a company and then loaning them to that same company. The originally Almelo-based company acts as employer in a formal-legal sense and takes over the labor risks of its clients. A successful way of providing services, given the number of employees on the company's payroll. After Persoonality became part of Timing Uitzendteam in 2011, the branch network expanded with branches in Eindhoven, Heerenveen, Haarlem, Enschede and Zwolle.

RELIABILITY, SERVICE, QUALITY AND ADDED VALUE

In 2006 Persoonality was looking for a suitable online portal for payroll employees and hirers. It was important to create a 'split' between the front- and backend systems of Persoonality. On the backend Persoonality works with an ERP system from AFAS, but in the context of the cut it was good to look at other front-end parties that could be engaged. A web-based payrolling portal was specifically considered and reliability, service, quality and added value were important issues.

COLLABORATION PERSONALITY WITH AKYLA

At the end of 2006 Persoonality was introduced to the e-UUR software developed by Akyla, about which they immediately had a good feeling. The same was true for the cooperation with Akyla. Persoonality was looking for a user-friendly, efficient solution and e-UUR met that requirement. To ensure accessibility or to avoid ambiguities, for example in case of calamities, it was agreed that the hosting would be in the hands of Akyla. The fact that Akyla was willing to take on this gave Persoonality a good insight into Akyla's skills and knowledge.

"EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH AKYLA"

Meanwhile, almost nine years after the first encounter, Persoonality is still extremely satisfied with Akyla. "The employees of Akyla have a positive attitude, it is a reliable party, they can make quick moves and are decisive. You can tell that they are also used to dealing with the flex market, because they have extensive knowledge of the matter and know how to manage the placement of people," Persoonality said. Fear of going into business with a relatively new software has not been a factor at Persoonality. "The environment in which it takes place was not new. Besides, you're talking about Time Capture, a fairly basic process that needs to be tackled. However, a Proof of Concept did have to convince our management team of the usefulness and necessity of the new software. That succeeded, after which a start could be made on the further development of the basis laid by Akyla."

WORKING WITH E-HOUR

After a period of trial runs with a number of clients, e-UUR went into production in 2007. Now almost all employees and hirers of Persoonality work with this system. e-UUR has also been expanded with system links to time registration systems of various clients, online pay slips for all employees, digital invoicing and reporting possibilities. e-UUR has become an integral part of the Persoonality process. For that reason, Persoonality and Akyla agreed on an additional Service Level Agreement in 2009. "Currently e-UUR plays an important role within our processes. This is why we have agreed on guarantees regarding, among other things, the availability of the environment and the handling time of issues we put to Akyla," said Tim Koersen, ICT Project Manager at Persoonality and Timing.

NEW: ONLINE ENROLLMENT MODULE

In 2010 Persoonality again came to Akyla for expansion of existing functionalities. "It soon became apparent that there was a great need for more digital capabilities, such as digital enrollment of payroll workers, an online client file and the possibility of a pro forma invoice. Meanwhile, digital enrollment has been launched with clients and employees. What is unique about this is that it no longer requires printing and signing and that an automated check for identity document validity is performed by hirer . Because all attachments are also automatically supplied by the employee, we expect to achieve a great deal of efficiency in the entire digital registration process. With this functionality, as well as with the pro forma invoice and an online customer file, we hope to meet the desire of customers and employees to have more data accessible online."
