The right support for the temps, hirers and mediators of Nedflex

The ideal portal for temps, hirers and intermediaries, as well as for in-house employees. That's what e-UUR at Nedflex has grown to in recent years. The main reasons? The many functionalities - including margin invoicing - the flexibility and self-reliance.

"Since a few years we have been working with AFAS' ERP solution," says Sales Director Nick Bos. "A big step forward for us, because we can now process all processes in one back office. And with the arrival ofAkyla, in 2018, we took another big step forward. We now have a portal with which we create flexibility for both ourselves and our customers. So the combination of AFAS and Akyla is perfect for us. We work with partners who are really good in their niche." It was not for nothing that AFAS tipped Bos to have a conversation with Akyla. Akyla is preferred supplier, a best of breed solution that fits well with AFAS' ERP solution. "And indeed, Akyla turned out to be the best choice for us," Bos says. "Our partners see the portal in their own look and feel, there is a handy app available, and thanks to Akyla we have also been able to fully automate margin invoicing. And these are just three of the many benefits."

One of the biggest advantages Bos would like to explain separately: flexibility. "The portal can be set up as you wish. A good example is the process of onboarding. Previously, in our old software, this was determined for us. In e-UUR , we can completely determine ourselves how the onboarding of temps proceeds. For example, we do not have to ask Dutch temps during the process if they want to purchase health insurance through us, whereas foreign temps should not lack this question. In e-UUR I can omit all unnecessary questions and add questions that are important for a certain group. That works faster and more efficiently." Over time, by the way, Nedflex has made the onboarding process shorter and more effective. From six steps, onboarding has been reduced to just three. Bos: "That has advantages for our temps, but certainly also for us. In fact, we receive completed registrations much faster, because temps and customers have so little work to do."

App for Time Capture and more

So the response from temps is good, and that's partly because of that easy and fast onboarding. "But let's not forget the simple Time Capture, for example in the app," Bos adds. "If I'm completely honest, I think it's only natural that that app is there, but still there are parties that don't offer an app. So that gives Akyla an edge. The app also works very easily. Moreover, thanks to the app, temps always have their hours worked, pay slips and other important documents at their fingertips, so we can serve them faster."

hirers also responds positively to e-UUR. About the Time Capture , for example, Bos says. "For many hirers , submitting hours was always a big job. Now hours worked can be shot directly from a clock system into e-UUR . Where previously a hirer might have spent an hour on the Time Capture, it is now ten minutes. A world of difference, and that's what we do it for. Of course it is important that we can work effectively ourselves, but that we can relieve our customers of their worries: that is what really matters to us. Another great thing is that we can fully customize e-UUR for large customers. The portal is largely the same for all of our hirers , but small (essential!) details differ. I can add or omit functionalities myself - ideal."

Provide customization by e-UUR

That self-reliance - read: the ability to easily customize e-UUR yourself - is of great value, according to Bos. "This allows us to provide customization for every customer, and that is exactly what we want. What do I say: wanting to deliver customization has been in our company's DNA for 27 years. That we can now also live up to this with our portal is great! And it is also an important unique selling point during conversations with new customers. We regularly see surprised faces at the table when we tell them about the portal and its possibilities. Yes, e-UUR certainly plays a part in the decision of new hirers to choose Nedflex."

Self-reliance for mediators

Just as for hirers , work for intermediaries has also been made easier with the arrival of e-UUR . "Nedflex serves a large group of intermediary clients who, under their own name or the Nedflex name, go out into the country to recruit new clients and employees. The self-reliance mentioned earlier also applies to them. Creating placements, making changes to data: they can do most of their administration in e-UUR thanks to the intermediary functionality. Mediators are therefore unanimously satisfied with the portal," says Bos. "It is our wish to expand the portal even further. Currently, there are still three different systems in circulation for intermediaries, and we want to integrate two of those systems into e-UUR . e-UUR will soon become the single point of contact from which intermediaries can perform all kinds of actions, such as requesting a credit check or requesting our collective bargaining agreement rules."

Time savings and better service through margin billing

For the group of intermediary clients as well as the Nedflex employees who deal with them, the margin invoicing in e-UUR is also a major improvement. Bos: "We used to have two people working internally for a full day on margin invoicing. Every intermediary had to draw up his or her own margin invoice and send it to us, and that invoice was then checked, entered and paid by us. Now one of our own employees prepares the invoices for all our intermediaries in just two hours. Fun fact: all those intermediaries see their own logo and details on that invoice. The intermediaries are then notified and only have to approve the invoice, after which it is paid. In addition to saving time, an improvement in service is therefore an important advantage of margin invoicing. Together with all the other advantages, as already discussed in detail, this makes e-UUR the ideal flex portal for us."
